When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — for authentication and account recovery
• Display name — optional, populated from Google if you sign in with Google
• English level and weak tenses — determined by the placement test
• Practice history — exercises attempted, answers given, accuracy per tense, session timestamps
• Topic preferences — optional categories you choose for exercise context

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To generate exercises adapted to your level and weak tenses
• To track your progress and display it on your dashboard
• To improve the quality of exercises and feedback

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Tenses Trainer:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Hosting) — your data is stored on Google Cloud servers. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI API — we send your English level, selected tenses, and topic preferences to generate exercises. We do not send your email, name, or personal identifiers to OpenAI. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts. Firebase Authentication uses essential session tokens to keep you signed in — these are strictly necessary for the service to function and are not used for tracking.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — view all data we store about you (visible in your cabinet)
• Rectification — update your profile information in Settings
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
• Data portability — request a copy of your data by contacting us

7. Children

Tenses Trainer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
